About Us

NUSTAR CAPITAL

NuStar Capital is a distinguished venture firm headquartered in London, that specializes in investing in early stage PropTech companies. Our objective is to assist entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into transformative international/global businesses.

We pride ourselves on seeking out exceptional entrepreneurs from diverse regions, such as the UK, Europe, India, and the US, who leverage technology to disrupt the status quo. Our investment strategy is focused on early-stage businesses, ranging from conceptual ideas to pre-seed and seed stages. We believe that the right opportunity is born from a mindset, and we seek individuals who can identify opportunities that others cannot see - opportunities that have the potential to transform the world.

At NuStar Capital, we prioritize investing in entrepreneurs, not just ideas. We strive to establish long-term relationships with our investees, providing support throughout their entrepreneurial journey while recognizing when to step back. We understand that early-stage fundraising is not only about capital infusion, but also about building the best team to navigate the ups and downs of business operations, and receiving ongoing guidance on critical areas such as product development, tech, recruitment, and growth. Our team at NuStar Capital brings a wealth of experience and expertise, having been entrepreneurs themselves, and are dedicated to providing invaluable support to the founders we invest in.

WHAT IS WITH THE NAME?

NuStar, or "new-star", is exactly how we think of our entrepreneurs and their ideas.

Startup companies can be likened to new-stars being born. Just like how a new-star brings forth light and energy into the universe, startup companies bring forth innovation and creativity into the economy. They are born out of the desire to create something new, something that has never been seen before. Like a new-star, a startup is full of potential and possibility, waiting to be explored and harnessed. And just as a new-star takes time to reach its full potential, so too does a startup. It requires nurturing, investment, and dedication to grow and evolve. But once it reaches its full potential, it can shine bright, bringing new ideas, new jobs, and new opportunities to the world. Like a new-star, a startup company is a symbol of hope and potential for the future.

Amit is an experienced property investor and technology enthusiast with over two decades of experience in the real estate industry. Since 2007, Amit has been working closely with proptech startups, introducing the concept of technology disruption in real estate to one of the world's leading corporate real estate firms.

During his tenure at CBRE, Amit pioneered a new revenue stream that focused on commercialization, ultimately winning major contracts with several large Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).

Amit's entrepreneurial spirit has led him to create several successful ventures from scratch, including The Tiny Toy Store, an online ecommerce business that sells environmentally friendly and sustainable toys, and Rowhill Homes, a growing property portfolio that specializes in student lets, developments, and joint ventures.

Amit is now an active Angel Investor, helping young companies increase their chances of success. He holds an MSC and BEng Honors degree in Aerospace Engineering, where he conducted numerous fascinating experiments and projects.
